A/Prof. Jonathan C. Morris

Jonathan C. Morris obtained his B.Sc. (Hons) degree from the University of Western Australia and his Ph.D. degree from The Australian National University in Canberra, Australia, working with Prof Lew Mander. After a Postdoctoral appointment at the University of Texas at Austin, he joined the faculty at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. In 2004, he moved to the University of Adelaide. In late 2009, he was appointed at the University of New South Wales. His research is focused on the synthesis of biologically active molecules and has a particular focus on the inhibitors of splicing factor kinases. He is a member of the scientific advisory board for Exonate Ltd, a privately held company.

Dr. Luke Hunter

Luke Hunter completed his PhD at The University of Sydney in 2004. He undertook Postdoctoral research at The University of Melbourne, The University of St Andrews, UNSW Australia and The University of Sydney, before taking up his current appointment at UNSW where he is presently Senior Lecturer in Chemistry. Luke’s interests are in the areas of natural product synthesis, peptidomimetics and organofluorine chemistry.

Hon A/Prof. Roger W. Read PhD, DIC, FRACI, CChem, JP The University of New South Wales, UNSW Sydney NSW 2052, Australia Fields of current research interest: Heterocyclic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, especially synthesis of natural products and substances of biological importance; current targets include muscarinic and sigma receptor ligands, indoles and lignans. Fluorous chemistry and fluorous surfactant chemistry. Fire safety, especially related to prevention.
